substitute teachers

what is going on with the world today? lately i’ve been having weird substitute teachers….

there was one yesturday that really bewildered me. she was an old woman of about 70 years it seemed and she walked and talked in the most peculiar way. since i have independant study for that class i only have to report to that class for attendence and to receive a pass to the library. i told this to the teacher and she asked…well are you a courtesy?…i said no and repeated the fact that i was in independant study….she looks at me with her two pairs of glasses over her eyes and her orange hair, extravegant make up, and her copious array of jewelry and says “oh independant study…i know that” she snatches the pass from my hand and takes a long time signing it. then she throws it at me! and tell me to go on. i ask her if she wants me to write down my name for attendence and she quickly and abruptly asks for my name. i tell her and she goes ” oh just like my daughter…she’s with the FBI” i left the class completely creeped out. hee!

then today i have a sub for my weights class. during the class she started selling cookies. weird. and then she started telling everyone her life story. then she bragged about her daughter being such a good girl. the guys in class were trying to convince her to let her daughter go out and party but she fought back with her own words and morals. then she starts a conversation with me and i find that she’s a really easy person to open up to. i loved her. and then later in class i find out that she’s my friends mom and i had no idea. it was a cool class nonetheless.

another thing bout school. i forgot my lunch money at home today and i’m really hungry. soooo….right after dressing back into my normal clothes after class i saw that FNHS was selling burritoes. my eyes shined as i had just found opportunity. i had completely forgotten that we sell burritoes on wednesdays. so i asked if they had anyone selling for b lunch. flor looked at me so relieved and mentioned that we had no one working for b lunch. so i told her i would and she was happy. so…..whenever you sell you get a burrito for yourself for free. woo! i am so smart. haha.

sherman gets his new car today. its a 1998 nissan altima. i’m so excited. i’m going to juarez with him to pick it up. i cant wait!
