It’s late; I can’t sleep!!
I have so much on my mind that I want to put into writing before I forget; I figured the best way to go to sleep is to just get up and actually write about it.
About a week ago I started trying the tablespoon of honey and the half a teaspoon of cinnamon mixed with a cup of hot water to see if it helped. It is on snopes as being an old wives tale, but even snopes says it is believed to be true, just not proven. The day I started I felt more alert and just all around better. Each day I take it I feel a little more relief. I am no longer exhausted all day. I feel like I have energy left over, so much so it is sometimes hard to go to sleep. In any case, just wanted to say that I think if it only keeps me from getting exhausted it has enough benefits for me to continue taking it and to recommend to others, which I have, and they have had the same results.
I have started hanging out with some new neighbors that moved upstairs across the hall. The girl is 20, her cousin (a male) is 27. We discovered Sweet Frog yogurt. If you have not tried it you should. It is great. They have a choice of about 20 different flavors of yogurt then they have all these toppings (about 100) to choose from. They have little balls that have juice in them, they are my favorite. We go there after hiking, lol.
Finally, what I really wanted to write about was something that occurred at work. Friday, I was greeting customers, asking if they would like to get a Cabela’s club visa card with us. While at the front smiling, greeting, the general manager walks by. He is walking quickly with other managers. He is always on a mission. He is going out the front door, then he turns around and says, "I heard you had a great interview." It shocked me at first. He turned around to look at me, and I replied, "Yes, a couple" Now, mind you, I have had interviews with several of the Cabela’s stores over the past couple of weeks for different positions that would help me to move up with the company. I interviewed with Thornton, Co. I interviewed with Lonetree, Co., where the general manager from the Mitchell, South Dakota store was also, I interviewed with the Idaho store, then there was the Witchita, Kansas store, and the Grand Junction, Co store. I was starting to get overwhelmed. Excited to hopefully hear back from one However, my manager was walking so quickly I couldn’t ask him which interview, or if he simply spoke to someone in the store I am at now that I had said something too. I haven’t told many people at all that I have had the interviews, because I wanted to hear back from them first, but I did let all my managers know coming into this store that if a position opened up where I was offered a raise or could move up I would leave.
So, I let it go for the day. Then there was Saturday. I was opening the store, getting the cash lanes ready to open, and hear comes the general manager again. He was once again walking quickly, and a ways away from me. He turned and said, "Have you got a call yet?" I said, no. He said, "You will hear from a couple of them, they really liked you. I don’t know what they will say, but you will hear from them" Wait, which ones. Today you are saying from THEM. Yesterday, you said one. Now I am curious, and all I can think about is when I leave for Vanessa’s graduation in Texas on May 31st will I be coming home to Ohio or will I be going somewhere else. Still, I have not been able to ask the General Manager which stores he talked too. But I do know they called him for a reference, and he gave me rave reviews. He is kind and has always like me.
I should have been writing more over the last couple of weeks. I lot has gone on, but none of it seems important now. Hopefully I won’t take as long to write next time. I am going to Texas the 31st of May to the 14th of June, so I probably won’t write during that time. I don’t know that I will take my computer We will see.
