11 in 11.

Okay, so I thought this was a bit more realistic that actually having a "New Years Resolution" which very few of us follow through with. And I thought I could refer back to this list once in a while because these are 11 very valid things I’d like to change this year…

1. I’d like my relationship with God to become more intense, fulfilling and full in 2011. I want to learn to put all my faith into Him with every situation that arises in my life.

2. I’d like to become more organized. My apartment is a scattered mess with things at every corner. Its clean, I just have things scattered in different places. i.e. pictures, photo albums, hair products and makeup… maybe find a good organization system for that.

3. I’d like to move in the spring. I keep saying this… but I actually need to put it into place and find something Abby and I could be happier in. She really wants to get a small dog… and I’d like to find a place that would be ok with that.

4. I’d like to weed our closets out. Get RID of stuff. Instead of putting it in totes in a closet and going back to it 3 months later, asking myself why I wanted to get rid of this?!? I just need to DO it!!! DE-CLUTTER!!

5. I’d like my relationship with my close friends to grow. More honesty, more giving. Maybe mail out a card once a month, or send a hand made gift to someone random once a month. Bake for a neighbor? Something that I can feel good about!

6. Get caught up on my school loans. I realize this maybe not all happen in 2011. I only owe about 6000, but I need to get it caught up. Its hurting my credit. And I really want to buy a house in the future. I need to get it under control.

7. Get BACK on track with exercising and feeling good about my body. I am not setting a goal to lose any number of pounds. I just want to feel good again. I felt my best when I was exercising 3 times a week. So maybe I could check into getting a 6 month membership at my gym once taxes come in.

8. Join a class. Something I enjoy doing. Maybe a beading class. Scrapbooking really isn’t my thing, mostly because its too expensive… or maybe even a yoga class. Something to spark my interest! Get me motivated or invest time for myself. Or maybe even just take Abby swimming once a week. I think its 8 dollars for the two of us once a week.

9. Find some affordable health insurance. Get new glasses, visit the dentist. All things I’ve ignored in the last 3 years, because I haven’t had insurance. I have dental insurance, but can’t afford the health insurance at work. So I will do the dentist and get new glasses soon. But a physical would be a good idea.

10. I have been gluten free for almost 3 weeks now. I haven’t noticed alot of change, except that I am no longer taking something for a headache daily, like I used to. So I am thinking I might try to keep up with this for a little while longer and see how it goes. The headaches could be stress too. This goes right up there with just trying to be healthier.

11. Start and manage a savings account. Its been years since I had one. But we all have car issues and I’d like to go on a cruise in March. So if I can put away a few hundred dollars before then, I’d be a happy girl.

I think that wraps it up for now. Hopefully this helps me stay motivated to change some of things I want to change.
Hope your 2011 is nothing short of great!
