I love thanksgiving

Ah, yet another excuse for my family to cook a lot of food, then eat it.  perhaps i should explain: My family is a food family.  thats about the one thing that’ll get us all together in a good mood.  If we’re full, we’re happy.  and so today, we’re all in great moods.  My parents are amazing cooks, especially my dad, who went to culinary school, then cooked in the navy for 4 years.  so it stands to reason that we eat well.  this years menu: deep fried turkey, mashed potatoes (the real ones, not instant), stove top stuffing, oyster stuffing, broccoli with cheese sauce, cranberries, saute’d mushrooms, rolls, sweet potatoes, and some pretty good wine.  so as im writing this, im trying to avoid the inevitable round of sloth that accompanies a full stomach of poultry.  so far, today is a good day.

and for those of you who want to bring me down about all the starving people in the world, dont bother.  I know I’ve been blessed with everything i have, as i could just as easily be freezing my butt off on the streets right now.  All i can do is hope they find some warmth and comfort today, and wish all the brave warriors out there a safe and peacefull thanksgiving day. thanks you guys.

nothing from nowhere, im no one at all. nick.
