evolution is a theory that has been proven by extensive research. it’s similar to newton’s theories of relativity. one might argue that it’s impossible for complex perfect processes like photosynthesis and cell respiration to have evolved . . . it takes a hell of a lot of evolution for that to occur. but keep in mind that the earth has been her for hundreds of billions of years and that there’s

been ample time. and let’s also keep in mind, going along with the photosynthesis/cell resp. example, that there are many mistakes that occur (carbon fixation). but again, one might argue that C4 and CAM plants came along and have minimized the mistakes that occur during photosynthesis. so then why haven’t C3 plants turned into C4 and CAM plants, if there’s a god. doesn’t this god want all of its

creatures to be saved? last i checked the christian god is a loving god, not an angry one. wouldn’t it want to save each and every one of its plants? i’ve been thinking about it, and you CAN argue both sides. but arguments of ration, which i hold in higher regard, usually come from the scientific – evolutionary – side. does your professor have an name or an e-mail? i’d love to talk to them about

why they’re skipping over a theory that is fundamental to the study of biology. i should get an interesting answer . . . after all, this professor is university educated. (unless of course they were educated in a missionary college, or in a third world country, in which case what they believe can and should be taken with lots of skepticism.) i wish you the best,
