Things are Okay!
My uncle isn’t on the verge of dying! That’s great news ! The hospital says that he’ll be able to return here by next week. My mother wants to move his stuff and the bed to the basement because of the nasty bedsheets he had. My grandma and my mom were cleaning his room so that my aunt from PA can stay a few nights and sleep in his bed. They found sheets and sheets with crap stains on them that looked kind of old. They were angry to find this because the washer and dryer are in the basement. It’s kind of sad that my uncle has to be treated like an elderly person because he just turned fifty three this year. I think that he might have given up on being healthy. Hopefully this hospital visit is a wake up call for him to take better care of his diet. He’s already diabetic.
The other day was filled with aunts, cousins, and brothers coming by the house to hear any kind of news on my uncle and to catch up with family. My aunt who lives in California came first and told me how I looked exactly how my mom did about forty years ago except for my legs which, according to her, are larger and prettier than my mom’s. I promptly went upstairs to get back on the computer, dying from embarassment!
I’ve been looking at http://www.simplicity.com for some of the patterns that they have and the sewing tips. Sewing has taken up a semipermanent residence in my attention right now because I know that I will feel better about myself if I take my time and sew something that I really like and wear it. I want to gain confidence in my appearance as well as my personality.
