in darkness

In this pre-dawn darkness
the world is still, inconsequential.
Yet here my heart is stirred
to life while you but dream.
Along your silhouette roam
my fingers and through your hair
as a night-watchman
as an admirer.
With mathematical tenderness
I kiss your shadowed lips, eyes.
In the darkness I love you most.
Here it is my secret,
all my own without reciprocation;
where you do nothing but slumber
to warrant my affection.

I love you in the darkness.
But now I goad the sun to rise
so I may love you in the light
and embrace your beauty
in the brilliance of day.

I posted this because i don’t think it’s very strong. it feels like its missing something or should be scrapped altogether. i don’t know know. you tell me.  i want to know.
I’m going to be honest. i used to have more than two fans on here. i miss it. it kept me writing more. okay okay, yes… i’m a sucker for your praise. there’s so much i want to share. but no one reads. it feels like a waste. (sorry one fan, i’m not calling YOU a waste). eh, i’m done.

RYN: ha ha 🙂

Emotion is missing, it is only luke-warm.
