my bitrthday
Ok, I said I’d write about my birthday so here it goes.
Wednesday night I was busy cleaning around the house. I was trying to get everything situated before my birthday. I having to do things on my birthday (like cleaning and such), so I ended up going to be rather late. Then I woke up around 5:30 to watch the sunrise. It was pretty and a little chilly.
When I re-awoke there was construction guys in the house. I choose to ignore them and go back to sleep. Tim and I finally mustered ourselves awake and went to IHOP. Yummy, yummy pancakes were had. Thank you April for the extra cash!
Afterwards, Tim and I went to Main Street St. Charles (old saint chuck as I like to call it). We spent a good portion of the day there. Actually, pretty much all of the daylight hours once we go there. I took him to the main antique shop, the one hidden under the steps of some big white building, and I think we spent two hours in there.
We weren’t exactly looking for anything in particular while we were down there. We just enjoyed the sunshine and each others company. We didn’t buy anything, except for some chocolate that I got for a snack. Anybody who knows me well knows how rare that is. There was some more window shopping and then a mini photo shoot. I hope they come out well. We thought the film was color, but it wasn’t. I can’t wait to see either way.
Dinner ended up being Cracker Barrel. It took us almost two hours and four restaruants before we had our final choice. We kind of skipped from one place to another because I wasn’t exactly sure what I was in the mood for. I wanted seafood, but the first place we picked was way out of our price range. After looking over the menu at Joe’s we decided that seafood was just not going to work. Next was Ruby Tuesday’s because it was across the road. That was a no, too. The winner was fried shrimp and dumplings from Cracker Barrel. Seafood won in the end.
The night ended with an early bedtime snuggled in Tim’s arms.
That was my birthday. Nothing too large or fancy, it was just a simple day. Just the way I like it.
sounds pretty perfect to me. Glad it was so! huggles

ryn: that pic was actually the last time i did it, that was the color that didn’t take, so my hair is actually more of a darker auburn then that flaming red. the whole blond thing tho does make dying annoying since you don’t have a lot of pigment in your hair to pick up the color, so it fades and washes out a lot quicker then mine would, assuming i bleach it first. but hey, no bleaching first
