Hey you up there, can I ask a favor?

For one day, I just want everyone I know to be happy. Not the “Hey, I got a cookie happy” but the “Someone genuinely thanked me for holding the door for them.”

For one day, I just want everyone to blush. Not the “You caught me looking through things I’m not supposed to” blush, but a “Your hair falls in such a unique way, that a rainbow glows across its strands.”

For one day, I just want people to smile. Not a “You’re a lousy customer, but my boss is watching” smile. I want them to smile a “I saw the sunrise and knew today was going to go great” smile.

For one day, I just want people to realize that mistakes happen. That we, as a people are not infallible and will not always make perfect 10’s on the good choices scale.

For one day, I want everyone to be able to see those whom they care about the most. I want them to be able to feel the embrace of their arms and the comfort of their eyes. I want them to know just how loved they are.

For one day, I just want the world to remember how to say “I’m sorry.”

For just one day, I don’t want to have to worry about receiving that phone call.

For just one day, I want to know that when I go to bed, the rest of the world had a good day.

It’s not that hard to have a good day. You just have to look at things a little differently. Yeah, your boss may be a jerk. Yes, your parents may have yelled at you. But hey, I bet you saw something today that reminded you of someone you love. I bet you heard at least one song that has a connection with something happy.
