a little jetlag can be a beautiful thing

In many ways jet lag has its advantages. Since my husband’s safe return to the Land of the Rising Sun on Thursday, I have been reaping the benefits of his jet lag:

Bonus #1 – early to bed (around 2000)

On Friday night he was so exhausted that he fell asleep with his head in my lap as I stroked his hair. I could have sat like that all night just looking into his face.

Bonus #2 – early to rise (around 0400)

Each morning since his return, I have been awakened by a hot cup of tea. On Saturday, he made a breakfast of fresh, homemade biscuits and an egg casserole. Today, we even had time to make scones before church.

The only drawback is the fact that my own sleep schedule has been thrown slightly off kilter as well, so I can barely keep my eyes open as I type. I am sure the hanky-panky might be contributing to my exhaustion as well (can I say that? this is a family show!)

I hope you have a great day 🙂

I’m glad you have him back in your arms, I hope he is home to stay for a while. RYN: Thank you so much, it does help to know that people are praying. Have a great week. Tom-
