crossing the line

This entry is going to be something different. Last night I had an awful migraine (which I sometimes get) and retired early without writing here. This morning I was rescued by my Knight in Shining Armor. He recommended that part of my letter to him would make a diary entry; he even acted as editor in chief. He’s always looking out for me – even from thousands of miles away 🙂

“Today my daughter is “crossing the line” at school. It is a ceremony where the 8th graders cross into high school, and she has been selectd to participate in a skit during the ceremony. The 4 girls wrote it themselves. It’s pretty cute. With so many 8th graders, the ceremony is long and boring, so my daughter’s teacher asked them to do something towards the middle. One of the girls is going to pretend to be afraid to cross the line and the other girls are going to argue with her and get her to cross. My daughter is pretty excited – not about the ceremony (she kind of thinks it’s stupid), but about the skit.

I don’t know what our cat ate, but last night he had the absolute worst gas! We were opening windows, lighting candles, turning on fans, and it wouldn’t go away. And, he kept making more. I took a walk.”

I hope you have a great day 🙂
