News!

So a lot has happened since the last time that I wrote. I’ve been busy with graduating college, working, and spending what little time I have left planning a wedding.

Yes, you heard me right–planning a wedding. Ryan proposed to me on Mother’s Day and since I have graduate school all year round we decided to get married this year!! This August to be exact! While his parents have taken over planning this I get to sit back and try to relax…well try being the key word. My parents don’t have the money to help with the wedding and they live all the way in Arizona so they don’t really have a say in anything. In fact most of the time I don’t feel like I have a say in anything. Planning a wedding has been the most stressful part of our whole relationship so far. I can’t wait until it’s all over with!!!

I have had to give up every little girl fantasy I had…which is depressing. But, I know I can’t complain that much because I don’t have to pay for anything…it’s just not the wedding I would have wanted. I know though that the wedding is only one day and the most important thing is that Ryan and I get to be together, but all too often it’s easy to get caught up in everything.

In other news Ryan found a job in the Milwaukee area and he will be starting in a couple of weeks. No more worrying about where we’re going to stay and how much gas we’ll have to put in our cars! It’s going to be great!!

I’m looking forward to graduate school and I’ve decided to quit my job so I can concentrate on that full time. This will come in handy when I have to do field work during my second semester (they actually tell you not to work or if you do work not to take on too many hours at work because you’re expected to put in about 20 hours of field work a week on top of school). I cannot wait until I officially quit!! 🙂
