Job (sort of)

Alright so I got the job! Woo-hoo!! :p They are going to call me in for orientation as soon as they set up a date for it, which is really exciting. But it’s not really what I was expecting…they are only offering me every other weekend. This is really disapointing…because there is no way in hell that will pay my bills. On one hand I guess that every other weekend works really well in my schedule (my week is packed because of classes and I’m normally busy on the weekends) but it’s not going to pay for any of my bills.

I’m really torn over whether it’s worth it to work there or not. But, since this is my first lead on a job and it’s something that I actually think I will like I’m going to stick it out and give it a try. Worse case scenerio I dislike it and quit (after of course I get trained-which might in fact help me to find a better job with more hours).

yeah you best be taking that job, any job is better than nothing, and u are still getting a deccent hourly wage so its not like you are totally wasting your time.

Training sucks…I would try to commit to at least a few months. Even if you don’t like it at first..once you feel comfortable there you may like it more!

I say take the job at least for a while. It will help with the bills more than not having a job. Keep your eyes open for a different job, but try this one out and see hwo it goes. congrats on the job though. ttyl Viele Liebe

Congrats on the job!!!! Sorry it isn’t the best in terms of hours, but show them what you can do and it could possibly translate into more hours for you there. You never know! Good luck with it! 🙂

RYN: Glad I could make you smile. Yep, had a good Halloween. A bit chilly, but a good one nonetheless. I hope you did as well – I’m sure the job news helped that! Thanks on the pics. If it wasn’t hot pink, I’d wear that suit every day. 😉

I would say keep looking, but if that is not an option, take it.

See, all that worry you had over nothing… cept lower hours than you wanted which does suck but it’ll give you experience you need to compete with some other people out there.
