The past two days have been very frustrating. I hate not knowing what I’m doing. Yesterday my business manger was at the store I was training at, doing their audit and my team leader was off. So I was not able to ask questions. Today the team leader was off again and our store was having it’s audit so there for my manager wasn’t easy to get to. I organized my file cabinet and I’m not sure if that is right. I also made a couple of calls. Supposedly next week my manager will be able to get with me so I can really start doing my job. I’m afraid.
I am so TREMENDOUSLY proud of my sister. She is the business off team leader. Basically in charge of all the money and accounting for the store. She is always being asked to take a mangager’s position, but turns it down because she doesn’t want the hassle. Today she was told to start finding her replacement. She is being offered a new position. Assistant to the director of operations for our region. How awesome is that??? This she will take. She gets to move up pretty high in the company while skipping the posistions she loathes. The hours will be great and the money even greater. She is amazing. Makes me feel like crap though. I have to live up to her and I won’t. Anyway, this is a girl that failed ninth grade twice and then quit HS. She just needed the right enviornment. She’s moving up in the company, going to school and hasn’t started smoking again. She is a very giving and caring person too. I would give anything if she just knew how wonderful she is.
Tomorrow morning we’re going to pick up our second car. We’re buying it from my business manager. We’re also going to look at a house for rent that’s way beyond our means and the going to a school’s holiday bazaar. Sunday, we’re going to see what this Dinosaur State Park is. Hopefully something interesting.
I’m leaning how to talk up here. Seems the things to say are: awesome, nice and all set. That’s the one that gets me. You finish helping someone "You’re all set". Tonight at the restaurant the hostess got the menus and turned to take us to our table and said "you’re all set". These people up here are very interesting to me.
The friend has been writing a lot about his fiance’ on his medical site. Good for him.
I guess that’s about it for now. I’m not into writing often anymore. I hate typing on the hubby’s laptop.
Bye.
Wow it’s great to see your sister doing so well. Don’t worry about living up to her, you just do your job and do it well. Hmm all set.. I guess I never thougth about that lil phrase. What did you say in place of ‘all set’? I usually say ‘ready to go’.

I wonder if all set came from England? we certainly use it here (a lot). Don’t worry about your job, in a few weeks you will be doing it with your eyes closed (well nearly).

“She just needed the right enviornment.” That’s for sure! School is geared to the masses, not individual needs. Unfortunate for a LOT of people.

dang…I can’t believe that I’ve sucked so much at noting you…my sincere apologies on that one. Congrats to your sister on her promotion, staying stopped on smoking, and her return to school. And for you, I shall remain hopeful that you’ll find your groove in your job and you will become confident 🙂 (((BIG HUGS))) be good to you! ~Lys
