Hi
I’m back for now. We’ve been in CT for a couple of weeks now. A lot has happened, but we are still a long way from having a normal life back.
The trip up here was kind of fun. I loved the drive and we even spent a day in D.C. AJ loved that.
Red Cross helped us a lot. We’re still in the hotel they got for us and we still got two more weeks here. The way the apartment hunt is going, we’ll need it.
The schools up here are nuts, but the kids like them. Erin’s Kindergarten class is only half day which really makes things harder as far as work goes.
I do have a job. The hubby is still looking. I’m the new Advantage Coordinator for Sam’s Club. Woohoo a title. I really don’t think I can do this job, but everyone else says I can so I will give it a try. It’s an eight to four, weekends off job. I am making only 35 cents less than my sister and she wasn’t too happy about that lol since she’s been working for Sam’s for almost three years and is repsonsible for all the money in the store. I get to leave the store and do maketing crap. I have to dress nice too. I will miss my jeans and tshirts.
We’re learning our way around town pretty good. On sunny day’s it’s very pretty here. The first week here it rained the whole time. Bad flooding, people losing property and such. Seems the whole world is falling a part.
The Friend got engaged. He didn’t tell me.
I caught up with a few online friends tonight. It was nice.
Ohhh another thing I don’t like here is that Prime Time starts an hour later. No going to sleep at a decent time.
Everywhere should be like Louisiana, except without hurricanes.
Bye.
Hugssssss sweetie congrats on the job!!! Glad things are slowly getting settled good luck with the apt. hunting Hugsssssss to you and your family Melanie

Congrats on the new job! And I know what you mean about missing jeans n tshirts. My new job requires business to business casual. Which means no sneakers, no denim and no tshirts. *sigh* what was I thinking? LOL You’ll enjoy the dressing up.. after 2 months, I kinda look forward to it each day!

great to see you. I guess everything must be very weird, new everything. Are you living in a small town or a big town? (not stalking just curious).

What good news! Glad everything is working out well, except of course Prime Time’s hour. “Seems the whole world is falling apart.” I KNOW! Doesn’t it? I think it’s kinda scary. I was saying to Kurtis the other day that it seems like we’re in some kinda armageddon movie. AHHH!! But, on a brighter note, I’m glad you guys are happy in your new (safe) home.
