It amazes me, what’s going on in New Orleans.  Why in hell would someone shoot at people who are trying to help them.  What are these thugs thinking they are gaining.  Not a city, that’s for sure.  The national news doesn’t show all the help that is trying to be sent from within the state, but is being turned back because it’s too dangerous. It’s not that help isn’t trying to get there, its that some of the people who are stuck there aren’t wanting help.  They have they hoard of water and food, so they don’t want to go and it’s causing trouble for thousands and thousands of others.  It’s sickening. 

We are still not sure when we’ll be allowed to go back home.  They are still saying Monday and only for a short while to get things and then we have to leave.  I still don’t know how we will get there with no vehicle.   It’s my understanding that some areas in my city of Kenner have electricity even.  The water is gone.  I can only see them not letting us back mainly because of the danger from new orleans.   I don’t know.

I won’t complain about somethings that’s going on here.  No one would believe how thankful I truly am to have a place to stay.   People would think that I’m awful because so many others are dying on an interstate.  Still the problems of the "smart" people who did evacuate shouldn’t be diminshed because of people who didn’t.  There are a lot of people who just wouldn’t go.  It wasn’t that they couldn’t.  I know quite a few personally.  

Anywhoooo,  everyone’s future is in an upheaval(sp) now.  Nothing at all in our lives will ever be the same as it was last week at this time.   It’s sad for the whole country.
