I passed the test.  The interview went well.  I just have to get finger printed, have a background check done and come up with another reference.  I told the lady when I called that I’ve only had one job in the past 14 years and she said we can work with that.  Nope.  She asked if I’ve volunteered anywhere, maybe at school.   I’ve done field trips and stuff like that, but nothing else.  Even if I could get someone at the kids school to give me a reference, I can’t get in touch with them until a little before school starts.  This is my main problem at the moment.  Otherwise, I’m a substitute teacher.  Yipppeeeee 🙂

For anyone that thinks of subbing (when I type subbing, I think of something else), you get to choose which schools and what grades you want to work with, so if you don’t think you can handle highschoolers, you don’t have to.  At least that’s how it works in Louisiana.

In other news, the starter in the van is going out.  The ex live in sister’s b/f took me to the interview today.  He’s a nice guy. I don’t know how he puts up with my sister.

It’s been raining today.  Great sleeping in weather.  Too bad I couldn’t.

That’s my update for today.  Bye.

That’s awesome! I’ll bet subbing will be a lot of fun! Wish it would rain here! Maybe it’d cool down some!

Congrats on passing the test!! I had to chuckle about the “subbing” thing meaning something else 😉 Way-bummer ’bout the starter in the van 🙁 It’s awesome that your ex-live-in sister has such a good bf…count her blessings for her 😉 Do try to be good to you, eh? and ryn: Thank you bunches, for your support through my current unfun time. Pardon any of my rabid poodleness. ~Lys
