Once in a Lifetime

 I had to email Trainer Tim and tell him that I will be ditching him on Monday. Because I’m going to be seeing Chef Gordon Ramsay. Gordon. Freaking. Ramsay. I’m dying of excitement. There are no words. 

He’s filming for Hotel Hell next week in Connecticut. I caught wind of it from a mutual fan, and she gave me the details on how to get reservations to make an appearance as a guest on the show. Either as a guest at the hotel itself, or dinner reservations for the restaurant in the hotel. I only set aside reservations for dinner. I got seating for 4. I’m planning on taking Sam, Jess, and Bonnie (Jess’ mom.) 

You can’t take in any cameras with you. Or cell phones. Or ask Chef Ramsay for an autograph. Or even speak to him. 

But I can tell you what- I’m going to be taking about a MILLION mental photographs to hold on to FOREVER. (Did that sound creepy?) In every one of them we’re going to look like BFFs. His arm is going to be around my shoulders and Chef Ramsay – hell, we’re BBFs, I’ll call him Gordon – will be giving a thumbs up because we’re so cool. (Okay. I’m venturing into Creeper Land, here.) And in every mental picture I take, he also autographs it. Because he would totally do me a solid like that. (I should just stop typing now.)

On a much more serious note, this is seriously a once in a lifetime opportunity. And I cannot wait for Monday. Just to have the opportunity to see the man work is outstanding. And while my life dream is to hang out with Chef Ramsay (not work with him, because that would be scary. Just hang out, because he looks like the best person to hang out with ever) I’ll take watching him work, because I think it is as close as I’m going to get. Maybe one day I’ll have the chance to just hang out, chill, and pick his brain – but I’m not holding on too tightly to that dream. 

And while I know that the chances of even being served something that is actually edible is very slim (I got a Day One slot) I am still really looking forward to the experience.
