Winter?

What winter? I can hardly believe that it is December in CT right now. I was wing around outside in a polo shirt and no jacket for most of the day! Something about that just isn’t right. Not that I’m saying that I want the alternative. Snow can hold off as long as it wants. I may have been born and raised in New England, but I am definitely not a fan of  driving in the white stuff.

As for it being December and Christmas is looming, I am proud to say I’m pretty much finished. The only person I have yet to buy for is my brother, Joey. And… I actually have no clue. Although I am more concerned about getting Sam started on his shopping. I refuse to let him wait until the weekend before and be cranky because he has to deal with the bad attitudes of all the last minute shoppers. (Which… he IS one. lol) I told him last night that if he isn’t going to buy for his family, then I will and he can pay for it. He wasn’t thrilled with the idea (‘Its MY family, I should be the one doing the shopping.") but I have a feeling that I’m the one that is going to be doing the shopping.

Saturday is going to be a busy day. I have to make chili for Sam’s suprise party in the morning. We have a Toys for Tots function that my dad is throwing in the afternoon. Bring a toy and get an awesome meal? I can go with that. And then in the evening we’re going to Chris P. and Jeremy’s for Sam’s party. Busy day.

Sunday I’m having a cookie exchange with some of the ladies I hang out with. (The Steel Magnolias – they crack me up so hard!) Friday I’m making all of my cookies. At least 8 dozen jelly buttons. And Monday is my PartyLite Party. I’m really looking forward to the weekend, but this is going to be a killer.

And knitting? Yeah, I’ve picked up three more projects. WTF is wrong with me? At least they are all hats. Hats are easy.

Jess and I hit the gym again today. I made a friend. Her name is Cathy and she is really nice. She gave me some advice on working with a few of the machines.

I’m finding I really look forward to our gym days. It helps that the exercises are getting easier. And that I have more energy, both at the gym and outside of it. And it also helps that I am on Fitocracy. Whoever made that site is a freaking genius. Appealing to the gamer side of people to get them into fitness. Genius. I reached Level 8 today. And I am really proud of myself.
