Its 11.30 on a Thursday Night
Why wouldn’t I still be up? Okay. So I just got home a little while ago from Meg’s. We had our Knit Night tonight, and it was pretty bangin’. I finished a square and got about halfway done on another one on the Big Red Blanket. I should be done very soon. I’ll be starting Row 10 of squares after this next one, and then I’ll see how I like it. I’m thinking at least twelve rows of squares, just to make it longer on one side. Personally, I hate square blankets. Most of the time they’re too small to really stretch out under them, and your feet end up hanging out. And that is just not a good snuggle blanket. Plus I want to make sure there is room enough for two people to fit under it. This blanket may be for my younger brother, but I’m sure even he will want to snuggle someone eventually.
Earlier today I went to go see Miss Amy. She just had surgery on her shoulder and is homebound during recovery. No driving, no lifting, easy does it. I brought her a bunch of produce from the garden (lets face it – There is no way Sam and I Are going to be able to eat everything before it goes bad. I love tomatoes, but come on.) and we chatted for a good part of the day. About this, that, and the other thing. Talked about Jason, Shannon, and Schyler. (Her kids.) We talked about my brothers and my parents. Discussed the new Doctor Who episode. (We’re total geeks like that.) It was a good time, really. I love seeing Miss Amy. I even got some knitting done while I was there today, too! During the course of the day I’ve almost finished Row 9 of the Blanket. Extremely productive day, I think.
Me and Miss Amy at her son, Jason’s, wedding.
Don’t ask me what her daughter, Shannon, is doing in the background just over her shoulder. Its a pretty hilarious expression though.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I’m hoping the weather is going to be nice in the morning. I would really like to go out for a jog. I haven’t been keeping up with that lately, and I kind of hate it. Most of my pants don’t really fit right now. Kind of sucks. You would think that some good advice would be to just lay off the cake and pudding. But let’s be realistic here: If there is cake in the house, and Snack Packs in the fridge, I’m going to eat them. So clearly, lacking self control, the only solution is to get up, get out, and get some exercise. Although I can’t claim that I have ever had self control. It isn’t exactly something that you can just magically have. Just look at my yarn. That is a clear demonstration of my self control.
After a jog, I’ve got work until 4.15pm, then I will most likely be heading up to the Haunted Graveyard to help with more setting up. ‘Busy’ doesn’t begin to cover tomorrow. I’m going to be exhausted. I’m hoping for a good exhaustion though.
Well, this has been me. Reporting to you live from my new laptop!
Over and Out!
