Little Wiener Dog and Knitted Things

A whole bunch of my friends are going to Wild Fire this weekend, and I get to take care of the Little Wiener Dog! My friend Lyndsey messaged me last night and asked me if I would take care of Oy for her and Joe while they were away, and I couldn’t possibly say no. I love the little pup. Although I’m pretty sure he’s at least three years old now. So he’s not a puppy anymore. But he is still just so tiny and adorable. I am really looking forward to it.

Maybe having a dog in the house again will wear away on Sam’s defenses and he’ll agree to us getting another dog. I doubt it though. One can only hope.

Knit Night went very well, I would like to think. Personally, I got a lot done. I finished my hat:

I have to say, I’m a fan of the orange beard, myself. This one came out very nice, and I’m only sad I’ve no intention of actually making one for myself. Not with all of my gift knitting to do.

And while we’re on the subject of yarn and knitting:

I’ll let you take a peek at my Noro Stash. But just this one time. Because after I post this entry, I’m going to go roll in all of it and no one will ever see it again. Well. Until it actually gets knitted, that is. And who knows when that will be!

I only have a vague idea of what I’m going to do with all of this. I’m very excited for the 2$ skeins of Silk Garden right in the front there. I wish I could have gotten more. But Alas! It wasn’t meant to be.

Today, I have to make a run to Walmart. We’re running low on a lot of essentials. Like laundry soap. And dish soap. And shampoo. And cat food. And it is so much cheaper to buy it at Walmart than it is at any other store, not that i have to justify going to Walmart. Its not like I wear my PJs while I’m shopping.

After that, I’m going up to the Haunted Graveyard again to help out with more painting. I should have gone yesterday, but my back was killing me. I can’t believe its already time for Graveyard to start up this year. And by that I mean I can’t believe how quickly October is approaching. And yet there is still so much to get done.

After Graveyard, DnD with my gaming crew. I’m very excited for this because we added a new player. And this character. Oh man. We had no idea what ‘group dynamic’ meant before this kid showed up. I’m glad I have something to look forward to today. And hopefully I’ll be able to work on Battle Bonnet #3 tonight at Game. Or maybe the Blanket. I’ve already started the hat last night, but I’ve neglected the Blanket. So maybe its time to bust that thing out again.

Is it Friday yet? I want to go pick up Oy already!

OMG, $2 Noro?!? That WAS a good sale! I love the colors there in the front. Noro puts out brochures with patterns for both large and small projects, designed specifically to show off the color changes; have you seen them?

Sorry, it took me a bit to backtrack to the site where I’d seen Noro stuff. If you go to a website called knittingfever.com, they have a crapload of free patterns for Noro.
