Election Day

still think that Romney 47% comment was the day that I could tell Obama was going to win re-election. Looking at the electoral vote breakdown, it looks like this:

Looking at the number breakdown, it looks like a clean win. Now we just need to hear about Ohio or Florida, and hopefully Romney will concede quickly.

Also, amusingly, Claire McCaskill won over the "Legitimate Rape" Todd Akin, Elizabeth Warren won over the racist Scott Brown, Sherrod Brown won over the twerp Josh Mandel, and Joe Donnelly won over Richard Mourdock of "Rape was something intended by God" fame.

Yay! I’m not terribly surprised, but I’m glad it’s turning out as I expected.

My night is getting better by the minute 🙂

I’m in Ohio, I voted for Obama. I voted two weeks ago by absentee ballot. My dad and I our crossing our fingers. It’s soooo close.

RYN: We have two TVs on; NBC said 274 and ABC said 275. I have no idea who was doing the math, or how. Interestingly, ABC didn’t announce the win until 15 minutes after NBC. Weird stuff tonight.

And can you believe Arpaio won again?? I’m sorry, but there are some damn stupid people in that county.

November 6, 2012

Loudmouthed Republicans (Arkin, Arpaio, Brown, and Mourdock have scared the shit out of Americans so much (namely women and minorities), that there was no chance this would ever have happened any other way.

National outcomes are, on the whole, good. Arizona results are mixed. Arpaio’s still here but it looks like AZ Republicans are losing their supermajority at the legislature. The craziest proposition, the “sovereignty” one, failed. I rather liked the “top two primary” one, though, and that failed as well. Davo

Intrade, by the way, predicted 303 for Obama. Final results are higher, though, 332 or so. Still, intrade got the election right again. Davo
