Meet Lacy

She’s 3 years old, fresh from a farm in Kansas, part German Shepherd, part Lab. Her owner is in his 80’s and is leaving his farm. He was going to “put her down” but his grandson, who lives in Pasadena here, flew there, picked up the dog, and drove her home. He & his wife have 2 little dogs, 2 cats and both are career people with very little time. Lacy needed a home with lots of space to roam.
She adores Jack and has really tired him out. Joey had become rather inactive in the last year so Jack was not quite the lively dog he used to be. He has no choice now but to get some exercise. At night, they both crash hard and stay asleep all night.

Thank you for your rescue. You sound like a match made in doggie heaven. RYN: If you get a chance you might enjoy reading Seligman’s “Learned Optimism.” There is a chapter on “rumination” which deals with how some people keep going over and over some imagined hurt or possible negative consequence. Ciao,

re: filet crochet. i’d rather be doing daughter’s wedding date…….better still? grandchild’s birthdate. lolol

Lacy is so cute 🙂 I read back and am so sorry about Joey. I think it’s wonderful you took Lacy in. And good for Jack to get extra exercise. Both our rescues are getting older and I’m trying to make sure they stay active. As a side benefit, it keeps me taking walks, too 😉 xxoo,
