And Thanksgiving is done. It was actually pretty awesome, the best one I’ve had in, well, probably ever.It was just Scott, Tamarra, Skyler, Bubbles and myself, but it was great. Lots of food, lots of alcohol, and 17 episodes of Great Teacher Onizuka. Good times. The social part of my personality that seeks brotherhood and ridiculous times with ridiculous people is very appeased. I had very tentative plans to be up for Black Friday to go film some stuff for a Plumtree video, but, uh, yeah, no way. That’s the second topical video idea that has been dashed by alcohol this week, I wanted to do something for Thanksgiving on Wednesday, but was up super late on Tuesday drinking with friends. Oh wells. I regret nothing. I assume we’re going to do it all over again on Christmas, since most of us don’t have family here. Not sure about New Year’s, usually there’s something big brewing, but I have planned nothing.

I don’t really think about the meaning or origin of Thanksgiving. To me, it’s just another day. Well, maybe not quite, since it’s a day off, but still nothing super special. Nothing that’s going to make me re-post any cheesy, generic chain posts on Spacebook or wax poetic about my feelings. It’s an excuse to socialize with friends that I gladly take advantage of. Yeah, our ancestors killed the shit out of a bunch of people and stole their land a long, long time ago. Human history is filled with selfishness, thievery, and "might makes right" justifications. The winners write and re-write history to their specifications. It’s also a day filled with sharing, togetherness, and turkeycide. I could be here or anywhere else on this green and blue rotting orb, makes no difference to me.

Well, that’s it for now. Maybe more later, I didn’t even talk about going to sushi with Kayleen, but that shall have to wait, League of Legends with friends is calling.
