Luton Vs Milan

Last Wednesday I was doing a security check in the car park. Seeing that it was filled with late model Jaguars, XK’s, XJ’s, XR’s even a mint XJS! Range Rovers. Range Rover sports and a BMW X5 bringing down the tone somewhat, I did a slow loop and made sure everything was running to spec. Amongst this pile of metal though, one car stood out.

An ASBO Orange Fiat Grande Punto.

Quite a feat considering the company it was in, But then again shiny metallic orange is always going to catch the eye. Thing is it looks much better in real life then it does on pictures or even on the annoyingly catchy TV ad currently doing the rounds.

When the Grande Punto is not hairing around a computer generated dancing city spilling bald executives’ milk, It actually looks like something that Aston Martin would have made if someone had asked them to make a city runner hatchback. Very stylish, For once this FIAT might even last for more then a year an a half before its engine explodes through the top of the bonnet as it was developed in tandem with GM and has a GM drive train and engine, So at least it will be more reliable and cheaper to fix if it does go wrong.
Of course, this also means that it has an evil twin..

Yup. It’s the same car.

Driving Tip: When Turning out of a junction onto a main road, Turning right. DON’T drive HEAD ON into the oncoming traffic. It’s not a clever idea, and will suprise your fellow drivers who will point stare, shout and beep. And then crash into you. Please refrain people.

car adverts always catch my eye… and they’re some of the best adverts on tv! Especially Honda adverts, no idea why but… they’re not really about cars normally are they… Still, that is a cool car indeed, am especially loving the colour xoxo

There was a car ad a while ago that had dolphins jumping out of the NYC tarmac, set to Portishead music. That’s the only car commercial I ever liked, I think. Aaaaand my brother’s girlfriend lives in our town’s wealthy neighbourhood. You should see all the Saabs, Mazerati’s, Audi’s and Beamers and even the occasional Ferrari. Sigh.
