salaried

a lil depressing, knowing they can be like "we need you to stay 3 more hours" and i wont get paid any extra money, but, at the same time, many improvements. really, there isnt anything bad other then the no extra money for more hours thing. sure, it may be a big thing that affects lots of people from taking salary jobs, but i really wont have to worry about it that much except for, like, 4 weeks a year because of inventory.

but, im getting an extra week of vacation now, and despite only having "2 personal days instead of 4 like hourly have" im still better off there, cuz say i gotta request off a day…. i still get paid. or if im sick… i still get paid. yay to that.

also, you know how people get, like, 60% (ish) of their pay when they have to take medical leave or whatever? for 60 days, i get 100% of my pay. so…… i have a baby, i get 100% of my pay while having my maternity leave. WOOOO.

AND with 3 weeks of vacation now my plan is to take the week BEFORE my wedding, and then ill have the week of, and the week after. and the best part of that: THE WEEK BEFORE IS INVENTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway. nothing much is happening enough for me to update. i keep having this really strong urge to write a story, and i have these fleeting ideas, but nothing concrete is forming enough for me to actually write stuff down. its really bugging the crap outta me actually.

im hungry. and i dont know if i want a baked potato or grilled cheese. ive currently become obsessed with baked potatoes. they are so nummy.
