Two Dozen Years Old
My birthday is in less than two hours, and I’m not sure how to feel about that. I mean, I love my birthday, but this one is turning out quite a bit different than I thought it would. I was really looking forward to celebrating with Ken, but that’s not happening. I’m just going to trust that God has a reason for everything.
So I’m going to be 24 tomorrow. It’s not a special year in particular, but it is exciting that it looks like I’ll actually be graduating before I turn 25. I’ve actually been able to pick out classes for fall quarter, and then I’ll have 15 credit hours to take for winter quarter and then I’ll be done. I haven’t decided whether I’ll walk in March or in June, and I probably won’t decide until it gets a lot closer. I’m very excited about being so close to being done. It has been a l…o…n…g time coming. By the time I get my diploma in March 2010, I will have been in school for 6.5 years!
Oh yeah, I also got a puppy last week. My older brother called me last Wednesday and asked if I could take a dog from him. His friend abandoned the puppy with my brother, but my brother has two large dogs who were roughing this dog up (my dog actually got knocked down the stairs by the other dogs and has had a limp since I got him, but he’s getting better). So now I have a pit bull/lab mix named Hobbes and he is the sweetest puppy ever! He has absolutely none of the mannerisms of a pit bull whatsoever. He likes to sit on my lap and give me puppy kisses. There are pictures of him on my Facebook for those who are friends with me.
I just can’t believe I’m 24…seems odd.
