Lazy Sunday

Another entry with Sunday in the title… honestly, I’m not obessessd.

So, it’ just gone 12 and I’m being lazy. I’m still in bed writing this. If I’m totally honest, I wish that someone was sleeping beside me here being lazy too… and maybe in a bit I could get up, stick the kettle on and make her a cup of peppermint tea. (which reminds me, I’m hungry… I should feed self in a bit)

So, yesterday, I saw the aforementioned person (Lauren). We spent a nice day together, I met her mate Ashley in the morning and then in the afternoon we went to Huntsanton, which is a beach on the Norfolk coast (not a beach that would go down well back home, haha – it only had one cliff! But it was a nice beach none the less). On the way down, the bus we were on managed to run over a small child… well, ok, clip the back wheel of his bike… which caused everything on the bus to go flying forward in a comedy fashion. Poor bus driver couldn’t do anything, the kid just rode out in front of him. Anyway, when we got to Hunstanton, some daft grunge girl (who obviously didn’t engage her brain before she opened her mouth) had a go at the driver, accusing him of all sorts of things. I felt like saying to her ‘look, love, shut up. You’re only having a go at him to impress that bloke you’re with and because you feel it’s what you ‘should’ do.’ Silly bint.

So Lauren and I lay in the sand for the afternoon watching the kite surfers and being stalked by their kites (which had a nasty habit of sneaking up on us, silently). I was quite honest with her the whole time as we lay and talked in the sand and I asked her something which I don’t think I would have asked anyone else… (no, not ‘will you marry me’.)

I suppose I’d better write about that later though.

So we went back to Lynn… uneventful trip… and sat in the park eating chips haha. I have come to the conclusion that the park in Lynn (aka The Walks) is infested with squirrels. Lauren finds them ‘gross’ hehe.

When I left… I wanted her on the train with me. I knew that I wouldn’t want to leave her when I left that evening. I’m still yet to understand how we can be so perfectly happy with each other… we’re still at such an early stage of our relationship but it seems like we’ve known each other a lifetime. It’s not that we don’t argue – we do but we patch things up quickly and listen to what we both have to say and work something out. Something feels just so *right* about it. Ha, even her family thinks that we’re serious… in her words:

‘My Dad likes you… he wanted you to stay last night… and even my brother likes you. He NEVER likes my boyfriends and shouldn’t like one that is older than him…’

Though she did say something funny about her Gran… you see, her Gran speaks with a strong Norfolk accent and I speak very fast sometimes. So when we met each other, I couldn’t understand what she was saying and she couldn’t understand what I was saying… so the whole conversation consisted of smiling and nodding… neither of us having a clue what the other was on about…

hehe, oh well…

Right, I suppose I’d better go to the cupboard for food…

🙂

“nah… stalkers don’t like to garden. It’s common knowledge that their gardens are always a mess…”I’ll remember this and the next time I see the guy I’ll ask him if he has a garden. You two seem so happy together.I’m jealous but its okay because I think I’m going to start dating now after over a year of singledom.Wish me luck.

Squirrels?! You should sooooo go squirrel fishing! SO much fun. But yes, I agree that he should be the one to tell his parents but they should have been told when we knew for sure that the baby was fine. My gosh, it’s their grandchild, something to be proud and happy about. My parents are thrilled.. just…er… so confusing. Maybe I just ask for too much out of him.
