Get a new job and look what happens.
I feel like I haven’t been on Open Diary in ages and ages. I’m sorry. Most of my updating usually happened because we were so slow at work. But then I moved to a new department and I don’t even have time to check my phone except on breaks. Which is how it should be. The days go by a lot faster now that I’ve constantly got work to do. It’s really nice. I love being in lending now. It’s just that there is so much new information I have to pack into my head as quickly as possible. It’s rather draining sometimes.
Sadly, there really isn’t anything new. Not really. Andy and I are still pretty good, though I have these waves of insecurity that I can’t seem to get over. My car has developed a very alarming rattle under the hood since I took it for its first oil change. I took it back a few days later to see if maybe they didn’t screw something back on right, but they couldn’t find anything and one of the guys even rode around with me and said, yeah, no idea what the hell that is. But it’s a new car, you should take it to the dealership and use the warranty on it.
the rattle sounds like something is loose in the engine. It only rattles when I’m like 45 miles per hour or higher, like highway speed. It’s sounds like something got loose and then the air gets in there and whacks it around. Effing terrifying when I’ve only had the thing for five months.
I’m writing again it seems. That’s good. I’ve got about a thousand words down tonight and I hope to keep the momentum up for as long as possible. I’m above 34,000 words now. I like.
And I’m so scatter brained, I don’t know what else to talk about just now. Hopefully I’ll have the energy to type something up this weekend. We’ll see.
Oh. If you want to read a history book, read History of the English-Speaking Peoples by Winston Churchill. Reads like a medieval novel. It’s fantastic. Lots of spelling errors in my version though.
