Okay, a proper update

First, Disneyland was so much fun! I don’t like getting wet on rides though (Splash Mountain). It was both new and old. There were a lot of rides that I don’t remember ever riding before, but others like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion I remember from when I was little. It was so much fun, if also miserably hot. I liked the Indiana Jones ride too though I thought it was a little too short.

I had never been on the Matterhorn before because I was too small the last time I had been at Disneyland, but that was a lot of fun. We did that ride at night and we could see all of Disneyland at some points, all lit up. It was beautiful.

Space Mountain, which I had also never been on before, was the best ride there though. Mostly just because I wish so, so badly that space travel was real. And Star Tours was cool as well, but I don’t like that they mixed up scenes from the old and new Star Wars movies. You just shouldn’t do that. But we did end up going on both Space Mountain and Star Tours twice, because they were the best.

We split up at one point because some of us didn’t want to go to Toon Town. I’m not really into it, neither are the roommates, but Susan and Dennis took their exchange students there just to give them the full experienve of Disneyland.

And I wish I could live in that castle lol. And I also want to someday eat at the restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Looks so cool! I’ll have to make a point of making reservations before the next time we go.

In other news, packing has ground to a halt for two reasons. The first is the launch of Guild Wars 2, which I’ve been playing for two days now. The mechanics of the game are a little difficult to get used to because I want to play it like it’s Guild Wars, but I’m learning, and it’s a lot of fun. I like the dynamic nature of it, and the fact that it’s an open world where people can freely interact with each other. And! It’s free to play! Even better.

Also, I guess there was some kind of mix up at the angency that my aunt and uncle work with that deals with exchange students and the agency messed up. They stranded a new student at the airport, having no one ready to pick him up, so my aunt and uncle took him in and he’s currently in the room that will eventually be mine. It’s not really any big deal though because I wasn’t going to be moving out until the middle of September anyway.

So, life is good right now. I’m getting more and more antsy to take my first flight lesson as well as start saving money/updating my technological devices (phone laptop). My cousin works for Apple and I guess they are releasing a new iPhone in mid-September, which I will probably wait for even though I don’t want to.

I think I am going to give my cat a bath on Friday. The heat here has made the flea popultions go crazy and I’m sure she’s miserable. So I’m going brave the claws, which have a life of their own whenever baths are involved, and hopefully help her feel better. Her fur is getting patchy in some areas so it’s obvious that just flea medicine is not enough. She has senstive skin anyway which doesn’t help at all…

This is short. I am sorry. I haven’t been updating properly for a while now.

They don’t have a Pirates restaurant at Disney World in Orlando, but they should!
