Nippin’…

A big cold front came through yesterday and today it is COLD!  And I just love cold weather.  My theory is you can always warm up, but is so much harder to cool off.  Woke up this morning and it was in the 40s.  High should only be 60.  We’ll have a full week of winter before summer arrives.

Next week will be a short week here at work.  We have Thursday and Friday off.  I still haven’t talked to Mom yet to see if we’re getting together for Thanksgiving or not.  My sisters wont’ be there and I doubt my grandparents will make it, so it’ll just be me, Mom, and my stepdad.  And since they’ve told me in the past I can’t take my dogs down there (which I don’t understand because they’ve got a dog and they all get along really well), I can only stay for the day.  Driving 4 hours round trip just for some ham and yams don’t seem quite worth it.  Joe’s family has invited me to come and join them.  They will have 20+ people there, but they aren’t making anything I really like.  They are having turkey (I’m not big on turkey), broiled chicken, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes with walnuts and pecans (I like it without nuts), some kind of cabbage dish, artichokes with onions, and red leaf salad.  For dessert, they have german chocolate cake (I absolutely hate coconut).  If I go there, I’m going to have to take myself a package of hot dogs so I’ll have something to eat.

funny. My bf is the same way about food, picky as Hell. Go for the fact that you will be with people on the holiday and try to enjoy yourself and then stop at McDonald’s on the way home. 🙂 Happy Wednesday.
