Talent

A couple of days ago, the powers that be decided to offer us in the frame shop an incentive for upgrades on ready made frames.  Basically, we sell frames in standard sizes, and offer upgrades such as glass with UV coating to prevent fading, and we can also cut custom mats.  Anyway, they asked me to type up something to post in the frame shop about all of this, and since I was bored, here’s what I came up with:

Ready Made Upgrade Incentive Program

To the citizens of the frame shop: In an attempt to encourage us all to sell our little hearts out, the powers that be have authorized the following incentive program.  These enticements will only be avaliable for a limited time.  Any of the listed upgrades on a ready made frame sold between the twentith day of March two-thousand-and-seven and the thirtieth day of April two-thousand-and-seven will qualify.

For Glass Upgrades:

One American Dollar for the sale of conservation clear.

Two American Dollars for the sale of reflection control.

Three American Dollars for the sale of museum quality.

For Mat Upgrades:

Two American Dollars for the sale of a double mat.

Three American Dollars for the sale of a triple mat.

It is the understanding of the participants that they are solely responsible for the tracking of said sales.  Proof of sales must be kept in the form of a work order with attatched receipt.  A running talley should be kept for each participant, and all totals, along with proper documentation must be submitted to the powers that be on a biweekly basis.  All profits from said incentive will be remunerated in the biweekly pay check of each participant.  Management does not encourage high pressure sales but only wishes to offer our customer the fore most quality of product and design.  Management reserves the right to amend or extend this incentive at any time.

Yes, I’m a  smart-ass, but management actually got a kick out of it.  In fact, they were so impressed, they kidnapped me from the frame shop and had me make a sales flyer!  ~L~  It was fun, and if I do say so myself, it turned out pretty nice.  (I’ll have to get one to scan so you can all be impressed!)   I guess between the time I spent doing yearbook in high school, the semester I majored in advertising, and all the time I spend looking at and making scrapbook layouts, I’ve developed an eye for these things.  (I hope I’m not bragging myself all up, then you guys will see it and think it sucks! ~L~)

Oh, so while I was doing this flyer, the store manager told me that I was going to be doing one of the demos that they were advertising on the flyer.  I’m always saying how I’m good at this stuff, but I don’t get a chance to do any of it since I’m stuck in the frame shop all the time!  I’ll be doing a scrapbooking on the wall demo, which involves taking one of our canvases (that are going to be on sale!) and pimping it out with pictures and other embelishments.  I’m excited about it!  I all ready found a really great idea in one of the books we have on it, actually, it’s a great idea, since the project will include 4 or 5 of the sale items on the flyer, go me!  (Yup, it still kinda makes me ill when something I do at work makes me proud of myself! ~L~)

That’s about all that happened today.  Oh, and I wrote to a guy I found on yahoo personals.  So we’ll see if he thinks I’m as charming and witty as you all do! ~L~  Well, at least I think I’m charming and witty, and hell, I don’t even need anyone to laugh at my jokes, since I’m always laughing at myself!
