Cleaning & Working Out

I actually had an entire day to myself today.  And I actually made some noticable progress on cleaning my room!  That means I did something about some of the stuff that was sitting around on top of the dresser and the book shelves.  I always feel better when I have clean surfaces!  I also put away my laundry, did my bills, and (mostly) cleaned off my desk.  Yeah! 🙂

Then I talked mom into going for a walk.  She didn’t really want to go, then she just wanted to do a little, then she was wanting to walk in town (I hate that cause then you have to stop for traffic lights!) Then there’s this home show down town, and she’s like, oh, we could just walk around there!  So I said, ok, then after that we can walk on the trail too!  But she just wanted to walk around the home show, which doesn’t really qualify as exercise to me.  I said ok, then when we get home I’ll just do a tape or go down to the gym.  So then she agreed to just walk the trail!

I love walking down there, and it’s important to do it now while the weather is still a little chilly, in another couple of months it’ll be too hot!  (Well, we’ve still walked down there when it was hot, but it’s not as nice!)  While we were walking, we talked about doing things to improve our lives.  I need to make a budget and stick to it, and stop usuing my credit cards! (I’m not in debt, but I still end up spending more than I should!)  Also, the going to bed at a decent hour thing, which I’m sure will happen, eventually… And that would be nice because then I could do a morning workout, and I really, really do want to workout more.  Even if I’m not doing pilates and bellydancing and yoga, just a walk away the pounds tape is fine!   Anything!

I need to work out more because I just can’t diet.  It’s never worked for me.  I eat healthy, and I don’t over-eat, (ok, there was that time last weekend, but that doesn’t happen very often at all!) it’s just the second I think "diet" don’t eat as much, I want to eat more, I want to binge.  I just lose it.  I can concentrate on eating a little more healthy, because there is room for imporvement, and planning meals ahead of time, which could kinda be a diet without feeling so much like a diet… Anyway, I’ve probably said it before, but I’ll repeat myself, I eat well enough and workout enough that I do lose weight, just very slowly.  So, if I cleaned up my eating a bit and concentrated on working out more, I’d be good!

And now, I decided to do this word association thingie, so here it is:

Don’t think about diet, yes we are dieting, but its more about a lifestyle change. Its not about not eating to much, its about eating the right things and all that stuff, but i’m sure you’ve heard it all before. So I’ll hush. Thanks for reminding me that I have to clean my room. Its so messy.

RYN: And I love all five of your notes just the same! LOL! I have a question though: what happened after your ex took the test? I assume he got his results back in a few weeks… and if he passed… was he ever called in for an interview? I’m hoping they won’t call me a year and a half after I take the test, but it is the Fed. Government… lol.
