New Things
This morning I went to Bed Bath & Beyond to return this canvas storage thing I’d bought, but they weren’t open yet (and I wish the store I worked at didn’t open until 10!) so I walked through the mall, window shopping, since most of the other stores weren’t open either. Payless was though… I ended up spending about $50 on shoes this morning… ~L~ I got 4 pairs though, 2 really cute pairs of sandles, and 2 really awesome pairs of boots. The boots are actually knee high, so they don’t zip up all the way since my claves are too big. Though they really make me feel inspired, because I can picture myself wearing these boots with all sorts of cute things! Who knew shoes could inspire weight loss? So damn it, I’m bent on wearing those boots next fall! I’ve got so many perfect skirts (in size 14) that would go so nicely with them!
When I finally got back to Bed Bath & Beyond I exchanged my canvas storage things and got a new shoe holder thing. (Oh so descriptive aren’t I?) Which reminds me, back in October I re-painted my closet, it was this aweful teal blue color, that really didn’t go well with my burgandy bedroom! I got this coca rose color, a light tan with a hint of pink that looks really nice. Then mom got me these canvas rubbermaid storage things which worked perfectly in the top of my closet. I bought 3 sets of them, each one came with 4 shoe box sized cotainers, 2 larger sweatter box containers, and one long thin under the bed type storage container. They all fit very nicely in my closet, and they’re a nice light oatmeal color, so they go well with my neutral, calm closet thing I’ve got going on. So the shoe hanger thing I bought is close to that same color, and I bought some new hangers too. Eventually, I’m going to get all new, matching hangers, but I’m going to get the $5 off cupons first so I can get them for less! Basically, my closet is very close to being beautifully organized!
My first goal for this year is to get my bedroom cleaned up. It was very, very close to being clean at one point, then I had this big desire to re-arrange my room, which ended up being a dumb idea, and it was only that way for a few weeks before I changed it back! So I messed up the place for no good reason. Then these last couple of months I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had much of a chance to work on it. I really want a nice, claming space. My room hasn’t felt like much of a santuary lately, and I really need that.
