This is what I had last night:

Chocolate bar. Chocolate soda, and chocolate wine. Going choco-crazy over here! The soda, considering its kosher, and uses a dating system I am not familiar with, could have been 3 years past expiration for all I know, but it tasted fine. I didn’t go to sleep feeling all that good though.  Maybe a tad too much to drink.

I did wake up better.

After dusting off my art history class knowledge and putting that to good use, I gathered my laundry and went to the laundromat. When I arrived, I noticed two things. #1. I forgot my bedsheets/pillowcases. Not a giant deal. Though I wished they had been washed. #2. I forgot my work clothes, which did make me upset, since those are probably what needed to be washed most of all. I wasn’t going back though, since I had already shut the door or the washing machine by this point. I think I’ll risk disaster and see about hand washing them, or at least washing them somewhat somehow.

Getting back, I needed to start of my thrifting adventure. This also involved finding a place to lunch. Considering the last time I just winged it and drove around finding something to eat, I temporarily lost my side mirror, I decided to use google maps before I left to find something. I was looking for somehting Chinese possibly, didn’t like my options around where in Arlington I was going, and deicded to look further up, along the way to my destination. Ended up going here:

Masala Wok.  Ah, chicken vindaloo, it’s been awhile! Could have been spicier, or maybe I’m just not fazed by it.

My napkins kept blowing away.  Crowded, so I ate outside. It nearly killed my phone battery though reading articles while eating. Quirk I have, I almost HAVE to read while I eat. Articles, menus, Facebook, something. Would have simply texted someone, but realized anyone I would have texted was asleep, working, or not likely to respond immeidately. I need more friends, and figure out a way to accomplish that.

Immediately before that, I found a Michael’s and decided that I maybe needed some canvasses. As in, I did not know if I had any, so I figured to check it out because I would need some anyway sometime soon. I found this little guy

With a look on face like he found out about the birds and the bees a little too early.

First after-lunch stop was a dollar store/thrift store unholy alliance. Both in one roof. Found a nice pillow case that I can use. I bought a small pillow for my couch awhile back and it started tearing at the seams. And I think this will work perfect. It’s even in my colors!

I also found a valentine’s bear graveyard.

The thrift store half, nothing of note. Meh clothes.

Soooo tired. I fell asleep at this point for an hour (not in the narrative, like right now, this evening, writing this).  This is gonna have a part 2 tomorrow.

As apologies, I give you Rocco.   In a box.

This is how I was greeted leaving for work Saturday morning.  This guy is ridiculous. : )

chocolate wine gives a whole new meaning to the word “chocoholic”! the snow leopard cub is hilarious. reminds me of some baby snow leopard photos i saw recently, they looked like they were taken at sears portrait studios and not the brookfield zoo. and those poor valentine bears… it’s like a stuffed animal puppy mill going on. rocco is adorable! cats in boxes can’t be beat!

See? Chocolate helps. Art history class knowledge highly appreciated 🙂 Hope your clothes came out good, remember “soak 20, scrub 10, rinse 5”. (I’m the Queen of Handwashing All Manner of Things.)Never had chicken vindaloo, it looks yummy! I feel ya on the reading/eating, helps me ignore silent mealtimes. I think you’re well on your way to new friends! *giggles at the poor traumatized lion*

Faux “honey” in packets doesn’t deserve to be called Honey. raw honey is the only way to go, I’m a strict purist on this b/c I can tell the difference after being raised on the good stuff. My mom’s Z-bread is the best in the world! I purposefully overbuy a bunch of zucchini just so I can be all, “Dang Mom, we shouldn’t let this go to waste.” Noted:I need to avoid Chinese restaurants! I’ve always..

liked to do the unexpected & I did lots of random crap like that. That was one of the tamer things actually, but in general it was all lighthearted. Nobody minded, it was just chalked up to the Crazy JenJen. Perhaps they shouldn’t have encouraged me… LOL

At 1st up, I thought you meant in the thrift store, with the valentine bears..lol..aahh I miss sleeping..5 am start for work this morning & has been pretty much for all last week. Tom. I get a day off, 7.30 will be a sleep in for me..so excited! :p Did you know cats are said to have aspergers? I think they do. Blue is an awesome colour, its so soothing..great choice & thrift or in my country, we

call it opp. shopping. I might have to go visit mine, just down a few blocks, I’m hoping for some sun tom. Waiting on spring, the blossoms are already here, like pink candy floss elf hats 🙂

That food looks delicious!

Hee hee, thanks! That’s the 1st time anybody’s ever complimented them! :o) You SHOULD do one, they’re fun! While I agree w/you (& you have no idea how glad I am that we’re of the same mind on this), there’s morons in our society that still subscribe to “she had it coming b/c of this or that” & let off the jerk w/some lame excuse. No movie today, but I’ll keep your recommendations under advisement!

I’ve tried chocolate wine before, not bad. And those Valentine’s bears…sad! That’s why I hate the holiday; all those stupid little tchotchkes end up in the trash. Aaaand this entry made me hungry. *licks my lips*
