 I wrote this somewhere around last May or June.  I think it certainly still applies to both myself and many of you who read this.

The Animator

Animator, set me free in 2D

I will be working on the depth in time.

Create this new person; give life to me!

Make me leap off the page and feel sublime.

Draw a vibrant world all around my sketch;

Be sure to pencil in the sun and moon

So that when it’s time to go home and stretch,

My universe stays here; my own cartoon.

Do not forget to color in the frame,

For it’s the hues that send my mind racing.

Do not keep me stuck in a holding cel,

For it’s movement that gets my feet pacing.

Outline a big heart with love I can fill;

One that fits the person I know I am.

Craft someone to share it with and fulfill

My wildest dreams, Like You did for Adam.

I feel some things in my life are constant;

Perhaps they should move with the orchestra.

And I feel some things are too important,

I want them to last a little extra.

And some moments I want to last forever.

Keep them in my heart to never sever.

And they will in this cel;

One out of thousands.

The one I will frame
