Oh He’s Good

Yeah my husband is good.  He was smart and fixed things last night.  He came home prepared.  He fixed out hot water heater.  So now I have hot water for showering and cleaning.

Then he fixed the toilet.  Not that it was really broken.  But it was leaning to the side.  I always felt like I was sitting on a child’s toilet or something.  Now it’s sitting up straight.  Doesn’t feel so small anymore lol.  Does feel weird though.

He also replaced the board in the cradle.  That damn firm cardboard looking crap wasn’t going to work.  Aside from it being cracked, it looked mildewy.  So yeah, it wasn’t going to survive a couple babies sleeping in it.

Still need to find a new mattress for it.  That part will be hard.  The damn thing measures 34 inches long and 19 inches wide (that’s leaving 1/2 inch off on each measurement there).  I’ve tried searching around for cradle and bassinet mattresses but still no luck.  Either way too small or way too big.  The closet thing I’ve found is a diaper changing table pad.  Only problem is that the thing is only an inch thick.  I’d need like 4 of those damn things if not more.

I might just go to walmart and buy some cheap memory foam.  I’ll cut that to size and then make my own covering for it.

It’s 2:30pm now and I haven’t done a thing yet.  When I spoke with James on the phone earlier I told him to not expect anything to be done when he got home from work.  It’s getting so hard to move around.  I’m not even going to try to be super mom and wife and get everything all nice a tidy each day.

I do plan on folding some laundry here shortly.  But that’s only because I need to find all of Josie’s clothes.  If she’s staying at my mom’s house for a week, she’ll need to wear something.  And sadly, my clean clothes are scattered amongst…oh about…6 laundry baskets LOL.

I’m totally looking forward to Josie being gone for a week.  Not only will I have a break from her, but she’ll get to finally see Tori.  The other kids have been gone all summer.  So poor Josie has had no one to play with.

We leave on August 1st.  She’s not coming back until August 10th.  Go me!!  I’ll get everything cleaned up the first day she’s gone and sleep the rest of the week.

I think a tooth is going to break off sometime in the next couple days.  *sigh*  I should go to a dentist, but don’t think it’ll do much good during pregnancy.  They won’t be able to do anything more then look at my teeth.  I have to be put to sleep to have dental work done.

Ok that is it for now.

Good luck finding a mattress, and glad to hear that the toilet is stable (and you have hot water).

Thats great that hubby came home prepared to fix things woohoo. aww wish I had a break from my kids like that, but then again I will miss them to much. Yeah, being pregnant and getting a belly takes a toll on you with housework. I don’t blame you for trying to be supermom lol its hard when your preggers.
