Xbox, Y U BE SO MUCH DOLLARS? And, school.

Warning:  As Tamara would say, "nerd alert, nerd alert"…

I want it so much!  It’s been pushed back to 2/7/12, now, which means I’m going to be occupying others’ Xbox’s during winter break so I can play Assassin’s Creed:  Revelations.  It’s been sitting on my desk unopened for a couple of weeks, now.  So sad…

But, as I was saying….this!

The console even makes beep-boopy R2D2 sounds!  And, the C3PO controller is really neat because of the little wire details and such.  And it comes with Kinect, which I also want, and the Star Wars Kinect game.  And a headset, which I may or may not ever use.  

And I’d probably get a second controller…possibly this one:

Because it’s silver and shiny and such and sort of goes with the whole droid theme.

So much $$$.

I haven’t decided if, when I can afford it, I’m going to get Skyrim for PC or Xbox.  Hmm.  Input from any Skyrim players?  I also beta-tested (as much as I could, anyway, with school getting in the way) Star Wars:  The Old Republic last weekend, and I really enjoy the game, but it would crash frequently, despite updating my drivers, which was pretty frustrating.  All of my specs meet or even surpass the recommended ones, so I don’t know if it’s just a beta thing that will hopefully be fixed by the release.  Seems a lot of other people were having the same sorts of issues, anyway.  I was a Miraluka Jedi consular, in case anyone is interested.  Graphics are really nicely done, imo and I felt fairly immersed in the storyline, though I didn’t get through much of it.  I’d recommend it….if the graphics crashing issue is fixed.

The next 3 weeks are going to be hell.  I am NOT a paper-writing person, and I have 3 papers I have to write, 2 of which are for Research Design and are due on or a day before the day of a final, which is sort of unfair, I feel, but it is what it is.  And then I have a third Research Design paper to write over break.  Ridiculous, but eh, grad school is grad school.  I’ve got 9 finals total, if you count my 3 lab finals.  I’ve already got my molecular bio final and clinical chemistry lab final coming up on the 12th, and then both clinical chemistry and biochem the next day on the 13th.  Then, I think my microbiology lab final is on the 14th, hematology lab final on the 15th, hematology final online over that weekend, immunology Tuesday the 20th, and microbiology final on the 21st…

Nonetheless, hopefully, I will post up my final grades here after it’s all over, and you shall all smile.  I’m really pushing for a 4.0.  It would technically be my first, ever (darn those A -‘s having reduced GPA’s).  It would be awesome!  Also just applied for graduation yesterday, speaking of.  The ceremony will be on May 14th, I think, but the actual graduation date isn’t until I finish in August next year.  Imagine if I graduated magna or summa cum laude??  Me, who started out as a high school/college student with C’s and failing grades due to severe procrastination and avoidance issues.  I guess I have come a long way…maybe, it’s partly because I know that this is all I’ve got, now.  I need this.  And, I’m not letting anything or anyone get in the way of that, this time.
