The Man in the Clouds

A man and his box

Sitting alone in the clouds

Watching from above

All that he’s tried to protect.

A man who’s been through everything

War, anguish, misery, heartache, grief

His entire world taken from him,

One star at a time.

And finally, he’s decided

He’s done with it all.

A lonely man with his magic box,

Looking down on the world that’s abandoned him.

For all of his efforts,

For all he deserves,

It never was.

And never would be.

Impressive. (: And, yet, depressing. I like it very much.
