Get Movin’

Dear Diary,

Bright and early this morning Jeff called to say that he was on his way over to check out this computer.  Jeff is the tech guy that use to work for the ISP that I have service with. Until this morning, he was just a pleasant voice who answered all my stupid questions in a calm and reassuring way. What a neat young man he is in person. He cleaned up so much stuff and showed me how to do some routine things. Gave me some advice that I will follow up on.

Answered the phone and found it was Lisa with the news that J. had called her this morning and was sending emails – so far I don’t have one.  Evidently he had called her last night and left a message that she never received.  He told her that everyone seemed to be with someone else and he really didn’t want to eat alone but had no one to share the meal with.  It is probably good that he is having to deal with this and realize that he is much happier when he is with her.  He is hoping to conduct his business quickly – taking pictures to share with Lisa for her input on purchases. Perhaps he’ll be able to order and wait for the product and return with some in his packs.

I have a table full of papers and folders and “stuff” that I must go through. Part of the decluttering plan of action. I know it must be done. It must, it must, it must!

Have to run a couple of errands this afternoon…to the jewelers to see if they can decipher some diamond information from 31 years ago…to the flooring place for the second bid..to the office to make certificates for Sunday and print out pictures for tonight.  I also need to shorten the power point presentation and send it to the company.

My to do list is getting longer…packing for the trip to Dallas, finalizing plans for the birthday celebration, appointments for manicure and pedicure, update the resume, set up appointment with school district, convince R. to mow the yard before we leave, move some more furniture into the back room, etc. , etc.

Guess I need to…

….get movin’.

Ah, the dreaded to do list. Normally I work off one every day – yet, I have ignored it since Sunday – except to add to it . . .
