A good day

Ahh…it’s 8:15 and I got home an hour ago. Haven’t been home all day. Went to Cortland after work to shop and eat dinner. Got some gifts for Ashley and Ellen. I still need something for Bill. Bill handed me a gift card to Best Buy today. I was shocked. Very happy but shocked.

Friday I am taking that day off again. It’s my brother’s b-day. He’ll be 22. I wanted to get something special for him so I got him a gift card and a little magnet that had a poem on it. I wanted to be heartfelt and get him something special and different and say something other than just "Happy Birthday" in his card. So, I wrote words from my heart. That’s very hard for me to do. But I did it. I told him how I missed him living at home and how I took that for granted. And how much I loved him. Also, how I was always a shoulder for him to lean on if he ever needed me.

The luncheon lasted for about an hour and 15 minutes. It’s amazing (and you don’t even realize it until people talk about it) how much the staff at work actually care about the patients. What they do is unreal. It’s such a joy to go to work.

I am going to apply, I decided today, to Kinney Drugs. I could really use the money and it’s just down the road from where I work now. I could work weekends and after I work at the rehab facility.

Haven’t really spoken much about SAZ because I don’t really think much about it anymore since I don’t have the money for startup.

I’m watching the Secret Millionaire show. It makes me cry EVERYTIME I see it. Oh, guess what? I ordered a separate keyboard, mouse and number pad that all came together in a set online. I ordered that for my mom as a gift. She spoke about getting a laptop for Christmas and I thought that stuff would be perfect. Well, come-to-find-out, she decided against the laptop. So I have to send that back as well. Good thing I ordered more things for her! LOL! That stuff was expensive! But it’s okay. Just like the messenger bag I got for Nathan.
