Theme: No electricity?

Then there must be zombies.

Plain and simple.  And, yes, we have a plan.  Actually, my boyfriend and I spoke about zombies Saturday night over dinner at P.F. Chang’s.
Obviously, zombie insurgency plans depend on what sort of zombies Earth will face but… logic rules that zombies are people and thus will not gain any sort of super strength or super speed upon infection.

With this said, the biggest obstacle we will face is returning to our base- our apartment.
Now, this sounds like a lot of effort because no telling where we will be located when the infection occurs or what conditions the streets will be in… but base is where the equipment is.  Also… it’s where my cat is and I’d have to make sure she’s okay.  O.O  (She’s laying on the pillow next to me making sure I record all this correctly.)
Coming home and grabbing the guns, food and survival equipment is priority.  But, alas, we’d have to camp up first.  We’d wait it out a week without electricity while the rest of the world eats the weak, liberal, uninformed and/or out of shape population.  We would amuse ourselves over endless games of War and perhaps competing over who can create the most intricate paper airplane.  Our apt is stocked full of MREs, self heating equipment, ammunition, blankets, extra cat food etc.  It would be the most primitive existence and we would probably argue a lot.  To throw in something positive, there might be some adrenaline-riddled spur of the moment life-or-death sex.  There would be no music which would kill my optimism in an instant.
After we make it through about a week… we’ll have to move on.  Food and water stores will be depleted and we can’t stay holed up forever.  This is when we move to our "pre-decided location". This is a secret building within several miles of our location.  It is reminiscent of a fortress.  We will be counting on a lot that the building will still be manned in time of crisis.
But chances are good and it’s still the best choice we’d have.  We would pack whatever food and water is left, ammo and my cat (if at all possible- hey, I can hope right?) and head out.
As for entertainment upon entrance to our secret building?  It would be endless.  Dress up would be our main occupation but also learning to drive a standard on some really, really nice cars.  😛

This would be life without electricity.

What’s YOUR plan?
