What is the origin of your Open Diary name?

I thought this question would tie in nicely with my activities on site as of late.  I changed the colors on my diary today.  I still love red, but purple has stepped up in its place.  Red signifies too much aggression, turmoil and too much of the violence in my life.  Purple represents a color of calm and peace in the unknown.

I’m beginning to revisit the idea of WRITING, not just the hurried process of scrawling angry thoughts on a sheet of paper to vent my frustration.

However, I have gotten NO better at staying on topic.  SQUEEEEEE!!

My Open Diary name came from a psychological place.  It was just a concept I idealized and was never entirely certain why.
I had just felt caged.  Trapped in everyone’s opinions of me, trapped in what my parents wanted to be, trapped by what I wanted (or thought I wanted), trapped by society.

That’s it.  I don’t entirely feel free from the past or the present so for now, I remain as I am.

Inmate.
Maybe someone just needs to bring me the key.  But I’m about to watch Aristocats so… this entry has been forgotten about…

I like to think you’re the inmate in your very own, tiny, self-decorated asylum these days. =)

speaking of dancing. I did zumba dance with my sister the other day. I can’t believe how stiff my body has become. I try to do a move and it’s all awkward and stiff. I have no where the range of motion I once had. Oh well. I’ll either do something to address this or ignore it, *sad lol*. Anyway my few found lack of grace has given me a renewed respect for the dedication required for dancing.
