Weight loss chatrooms have gone to the pits
Wow, weight loss chatrooms are getting ferious now! I was reading some averages that people were and how much people lost. Well, I decide to tell about my little story about losing 34lbs last year. Well, 4 people breathe down my neck about me being skinny and how I "need to get over it". Excuse me, but not all of us "skinny" people have flat stomaches and small thighs. In fact, this girl was talking to me and congratulated me on losing the weight and told me to try and tone up and that if that didn’t help, to get surgery done. So yea, 122 is small for ‘certain’ people but for others, its just ok. For me, I have excess fat on my stomach and thats what I’ve been trying to get rid of for about 4 years so I wish people would quit telling me to ‘get over it’.
You think losing weight on your stomach is so easy? It isn’t. Losing everywhere else is easy. Its funny how people boast about how much they weigh and try to outweigh one another, but when someone is just a little bit smaller than them and try to get tips on losing weight, its like the whole damn room tries to jump on your back about being ‘too small’. I’m not doing this for my mom. I’m doing it for me. Someone also was saying that its all about body image for me. Yea it is. I’ll admit that. FOR ME. I’m not trying to impress anybody here. I just want to feel comfortable in my skin, I want to be able to wear a 2-piece suit without feeling like my stomach is going over the straps.
Its all about being comfortable in your own skin people. I’m not trying to be supermodel skinny. No…..I’m just trying to lose a little excess fat on my stomach that has accumulated over the years. If thats being skinny, then so be it. But I’m not trying to prove anything to anyone. I’m not trying to outbeat someone’s weight. I’m not trying to be stick thin. I. Just. Want. To. Lose. A. Some. Fat. On. My. Body. So I apologize if I’m not 400 lbs and feeling sorry for myself. That isn’t me. Sorry guys for ranting. Just had to get this off my chest. Later!
And that is completely fine. I get that too, like I’m skinny enough if you see me, but there are things I still work on and I’ve worked very hard to make this a healthy desire, and not an obsessive one. I’ll tell u Capoeira is always what made my body the best in little time. It’s Brazilian Martial Arts and it works EVERY muscle, u have no idea the difference it makes.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to improve, what matters is how u get there, and the right way is with proper diet and exercise. 🙂
