you have been for me

now and then

as i met you all

there and again

extraordinary people

 

for most of you

have laughed and died

a time or two

and shared your thoughts

and memories

extraordinary people

 

it seems to me

that those who grew

the most

(is this  my right to say or even think?)

are those who suffered in some way

without complaint

extraordinary people

 

i stand and now

salute you all

for all you done

( yes i know, "have" should be there )

again i say
