The Law

The only reason Brandon said he wanted to wait until I was 18 was because he was mistakin about a Missouri law. Statutory rape. He thought that a girl was legal at 17 unless the parents had a problem with it. In this case, the parents would have a problem with it. And it is not as if I would have "sexual contact" with him, but if my parents could find a way to put a charge against him, they just might. But from what I found out today from two different sources was that a girl is legal at the age 17 in Missouri, the parents can do nothing about it. Which makes sense because if minor is able to live on their own at 17, they would certainly be able to be with someone over their age.  

I told him what I found out and he asked if we could meet again to talk. I said I would but definitely where no one else could see. So come Friday, we will see what happens.

Lordy…I really sound like a 13 year old who believes she has found the one she wants to be with for the rest of her life. I’m obviously not saying "he’s the one" but what I am saying is that there is potential for a possibly great relationship. Its crazy how much our personalities "mesh". Lol.
