I’m Giving Up the Ghost of Love

Another day down and I’m still behind on everything.

Woke up this morning a little later than I was hoping to. I took a shower and lounged up in my room long enough to get some writing done. Mom came home from work and I came downstairs to sit and talk with her. She picked us up a drink from Starbucks (Shaken Green Tea’s yummy) and we talked for a little while about work and our plans for the day. It was a good little chat. Then I zoomed off to work via the bus system (Yay Local Transit!).

Work was good, nice and quiet for the most part. Got a lot of work done and I’m semi-ahead of schedule, which is always a good thing. My lunch time was spent working on my NaNoWriMo, which is up to 28,000 words. I’m behind where I wanted to be by today, but I’m ahead of the minimum I need in order to make it to 50,000 words within the month. So I guess I’m doing alright. I stopped writing on it for a while, shame on me. I know. But I just couldn’t get interested in my story for a few days. My MMC is doing strange stuff and the story’s just kind of dragging along, which is a pain in the ass, but I’ll get used to it. I’m already working on pushing the story forward. No matter what it takes!

Came home and went shopping with Mom. We spent the little time between my coming home from work and her heading out to work talking. Once she left, I goofed off for a little time, and then started working on the quilt that my aunt wants to make for her friend. The quilt’s made up of 12″ by 12″ squares that have cats appliquéd on them.  I’m in charge of 7 cats, and they have to be done by Thanksgiving.  I have 1 finished, and two almost there.  I really need to pick up my pace.  I’d stay up to do some more work on this one tonight, but I’m half asleep and can’t get my fingers working well enough to do the stitching.  I figure I’ll work on it tomorrow morning and whatnot.  I am going to take pictures of the cats, I promised Scott that I’d show him what I’ve been working on, and i might as well post them too.

Mm.. sleep time.  Oh! Mike suggested I read a book by an author named Storm Constantine, and I finally got the book in the mail today… so I might start that right before I head to bed.

RYN: Yeah, it’s necessary I think – it’s a way of being good to yourself.

RYN: Well, in the end he did apologize. It’s just, with him, everything is always a debate for the sake of debating. Even if he knows he’s wrong or its something that is really important to me he always has to debate it. I talked to him about that too, and he’s trying to get better at that, but still not 100% there.

RYN: Thanks 😀
