Friday the 13th

Today’s an auspicious day to be sure.  Friday the 13th is always fun, but what makes it even more fun is the fact that it’s my brother’s 20th birthday.  Happy birthday, punk.

Momma’s going to go visit with the brother and sister today… she’s actually goin to drop me off at work and then head straight over there.  It should be a lot of fun for her, and I don’t mind having the extra half hour at home.  I do need to think about getting my brother a present, but it’ll probably have to wait till after payday.

All Freakin’ Night is tomorrow night, and I’ve got the tickets paid for, got the friends rounded up and everything’s going to be great.  The only problem I see is that I’m going to be in line for at least two hours tomorrow (getting in line early to get the seats I want) and it’s supposed to be windy and raining and just icky.  But, on the plus side, I’ll have Maili, Bob, Kevin, Matt, Guppy, the Podling (Michael) and Naomi to keep me company, as well as a nintendo DS and a bunch of snacks.  It’s going to be a lot of fun, especially since I know Sean will be around too, but he won’t be hanging with us mostly, he has friends that the only time they really get together is for All Freakin’ Night.

It’s also NaNoWriMo time again.  13 days into it, actually.  I’m doing alright on it, did a great push the first week and this week I’m just kind of “Meeeeh”  I do want to work on writing some more today, but I don’t see that happening unless I get my ass into gear when I get home.  I think I’ll talk to Mom about it, either writing, or if she’s watching T.V., then working on the quilt that my aunt asked me to help with.

Nims and Jubi are getting into Fallen Earth, which is awesome.  I can’t wait to play with them, or at least talk to them while they’re there.  I’m also thinking about taking my bank character out and actually leveling her some so I can play with them.  The game’s not hard, but I figure if I play with them as my bank alt, I don’t have to worry about getting everything collected like I did with my main.  That game’s a lot of fun, but it’s hard to play -with- someone when you’re both fighting over all the resources.

I don’t want to go to work today.  Work’s been good, I mean, nothing to make me want to avoid it in particular, but it’s definitely not a “going to work” day today. Then again, I don’t think there’s very many mornings where it was a “going to work” day from the onset.  The lead isn’t there today, so it’s free game for what we want to do.  I figure I’m going to spend the morning on my daily work and the afternoon slogging my way through reports that I’ve neglected to complete till now.  Yay for neglect!
