The Core

I was in dream land
there was a guide with me, my guide.
We were with friends in a restaurant,
which was not a familiar place.

I could look around with my 3rd eye and see
the structure of the moment being built-
unfolding like a computer rendering a graphic-

and the guide said I’ll see you at the center.
I was a little confused why we moved in different directions
and then I understood: we can’t travel the same path.

No two people ever can.

In each direction I looked, structures appeared
at the same limiting distance: they were bare frames,
like organic scaffolds growing at a rapid pace

and as they got closer details filled in. If I looked away,
I couldn’t see them disappear,
but I’m pretty sure they did.

My viewpoint was moving, but I was staying still,
the structures unfolded reactively-
they followed my directed awareness.

At the center, we arrived at the same time
but I knew our paths differed in length.
We recognized the peace of the moment:
the singularity of us.

Satisfaction flowed through oneness.

We then zoomed back into the restaurant
and were at the same place,
same time as when we left

and I knew we never moved at all,
physically, but were profoundly moved
by the instant, simultaneous recognition
of our unity.
