Delta’s Force

Constant change creates stability.

I heard a form of this in T’ai Chi class years ago,
and recently spontaneously lived it.

I was doing physical therapy balancing exercises,
and getting praise from others who can’t do them as well.

They asked me how I never lose my balance.

I said that I’m no better at keeping my balance than others-
actually I’m probably worse at keeping my balance-
but better at realizing exactly when I lose it, and thus regain it very quickly.

So I check in with myself more often than others who,
when in the same position, wobble or fall once they realize,
too late to recover, they already lost theirs.

Constant change creates stability.
